Let's go Mets!! And SFFs!

Anyone who is friends with Dre knows she loves the Mets. When Dre loves something, she goes all the way. She is hopelessly devoted ( as Olivia Newton would say) to the Mets, 311, and hating the tv series Lost. HA!

Anyway....she was able to catch two games during her trip. Regan and I attended one of the games with her. Dre loved it. Regan and I agreed that the weather was lovely. I must say, even though Regan and I are not huge baseball fans, we were certainly entertained during the game. The main reason for this was Dre. She has an amazing ability to make friends wherever she goes. Now, that doesn't just mean meeting people. Dre actually meets strangers and becomes friends with them within minutes. Its an amazing thing. So amazing, in fact, I coined a new term for the friends she makes throughout the country ( yes, the country). They are her SFFs - Stranger Friends Forever.

To qualify as an SFF, you must meet the following requirements:

1) Be a total stranger to Dre.
2) Be willing to talk to her.

She will do all the rest. You won't be able to help yourself. You will immediately want to talk to her, exchange phone numbers, and offer her some vodka from the ziplock bag you snuck into the game ( I'm not even kidding you- saw this myself....hilarious). You will invite her to events that will occur later in the year, and then you will sadly learn that she lives in Utah, and won't be able to accept your gracious invitation.

Regan took some footage of Dre in action with just a few of the SFFs in our general vicinity at the game. I'm not exaggerating, this was within two minutes of Dre sitting down next to these people. Nothing too exciting, just showing her chatting it up with her new SFF.

Dre was such a hit at the game. She got major props on her "game day" pedicure. People asked to take pictures of her feet. Of course, she obliged.



Here is a small clip of me and Regan talking baseball. We are very serious about the game, and very tired. I don't know why we were so exhausted...oh wait, yes I do. We walked around the Metropolitan Museum of Art for nearly 6 hours that day. Pictures of that adventure coming next.
